Dr Umm Maryam

CEO & Founder - Maryam’s Legacy-Nurturing The Mothers of Ummah Dr. Umm Maryam is a Medical Doctor, Certified Childbirth Educator, Birth & VBAC Advanced Doula, and Islamic Medicine Facilitator with over six years of clinical experience in maternal and women’s health. She is the Founder and CEO of Maryam’s Legacy, a faith-centered wellness and education platform dedicated to empowering Muslim mothers through holistic, evidence-based care. Working in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology field, Dr. Umm Maryam supports women through preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, VBAC, postpartum recovery, and women’s health across the lifespan. Her clinical and educational work focuses on natural and physiologic birth, reducing unnecessary medical interventions, and helping women make informed healthcare decisions aligned with Islamic values. Her approach integrates modern medical practice, Islamic and Prophetic Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, and holistic maternal health strategies to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of women and families. She is also a Hijamah (cupping) Therapist, offering complementary therapies that support overall health alongside conventional medical care. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Umm Maryam is a writer and author, producing books and articles on children’s education, Islamic parenting, maternal and women’s health, and family well-being. Her writing aims to educate, empower, and nurture faith-conscious families through authentic, research-informed guidance. Beyond her professional roles, she is an unschooling mother with a strong passion for Islamic parenting and free-range learning. Through Maryam’s Legacy-Nurturing the mothers of Ummah and her personal journey, Dr. Umm Maryam strives to nurture confident, skillful and healthy mothers, raise little believers, and contribute meaningfully to the health and future of the Ummah & Society.

Ariba Yasrab Khan

Operational Manager - Maryam`s Legacy Ariba Yasrab Khan is a dedicated student of homeopathy, student of Deen, and educator, with a strong commitment to serving the Ummah through knowledge, healthcare awareness, and faith-centered guidance. She is a student of Homoeopathic Medicine, a Hafizah of the Qur’an, and a Qur’an and Arabic teacher, with a deep interest in integrating Islamic teachings with health and psychological sciences. Alongside her studies in homeopathy, she is also a student of Islamic Psychology at the International Open University, where she focuses on holistic approaches to healing the mind, body, and soul from an Islamic perspective. Ariba is a Certified Birth and Postnatal Doula, trained by Nakhla Childbirth International. Her work emphasizes women’s health, reproductive education, pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care, guided by sound health knowledge and authentic Islamic sources. She is also a social media marketer and entrepreneur, through which she develops and shares Islamic educational resources and herbal remedies inspired by Tibb-e-Nabawi, prepared with care, honesty, and proper hygiene. Through teaching, support, and spiritual work, Ariba aims to empower Muslim women with correct knowledge, practical guidance, and a strong connection to Allah—reviving Sunnah practices and nurturing a balanced, faith-centered way of life.
